Conference Sponsorship
Tuesday, June 18 - Sunday, June 23
Emory University - Atlanta, Georgia
Each year the Association for Gravestone Studies hosts a multiday conference held on a college campus. The conference is an opportunity for those interested in the preservation and study of gravestones and historic cemeteries to present their scholarly research, to provide updates on ongoing or completed conservation work or cemetery preservation projects, to discuss gravestone types, materials, motifs, and styles, to learn about individual carvers or monument companies and different cemetery types, to participate in a hands-on preservation workshop, and to tour several cemeteries in the host area. From professional to advocational to academic, from students to retirees, from the private sector to public agencies, attendees of the annual AGS conference come from all backgrounds, interests, and several nations.
Sponsorship provides an opportunity for individuals, organizations, or businesses to support AGS while promoting their services, skills, and relevance to a wide audience of cemetery managers and advocates, gravestone and cemetery preservationists and conservators, historical and government agency personnel, and community cemetery activists.
Last day to fund a conference sponsorship is May 15, 2024.
Once the sponsorship is completed, please contact AGS at info@gravestonestudies.org to receive your free registration(s) and to coordinate any other benefits.
